Malted Milk Ice Cream is delicious and creamy and has the perfect flavor with crunch with a few Whoppers added in.

The flavor stands alone without the malted milk balls but I love the extra flavor and crunchy texture they give the ice cream!

Ingredients Needed

  • Whole milk
  • Half and Half
  • Heavy Cream
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Malted Milk Powder
  • Malted Milk Balls Candy

How to Make Malted Milk Ice Cream

  • Combine milk, half and half, cream, and vanilla extract in a bowl and stir.

  • Add sugar and malted milk powder.
  • Whisk mixture until everythd milk powder ding has dissolved.

  • Pour mixture into ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Add in crushed Whoppers candy to thickened ice cream and process to incorporate.

Stored in an airtight, insulated ice cream container it will last for a couple of weeks.

This homemade ice cream recipe is designed to be made in an ice cream maker and is not meant to be a no churn ice cream.

What kind of ice cream maker do you use?

I use a Cuisinart 2 qt. ice cream maker. I then transfer the ice cream into this insulated ice cream container to let the ice cream harden up.

Malted Milk Ice Cream

Creamy ice cream with the delicious flavor of malted milk balls.  It will soon be a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cup half and half
  • 2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup malted milk powder
  • 1 cup crushed malted milk balls more to garnish the top with

Instructions

  • Mix together all the ingredients except for the crushed malted milk balls and put into ice cream freezer. Mix well to make sure sugar and malt powder dissolves.
  • Process according to manufacturer's directions.
  • Once it has thickened  but before it is finished processing  pour in the crushed malted milk balls
  • Place in an insulated ice cream container and place in freezer to harden up.

This homemade ice cream recipe is designed to be made in an ice cream maker and is not meant to be a no churn ice cream.
Malted Milk Powder can be found in the grocery store aisle along with the hot chocolate and chocolate drink mixes
